The water discharged from the water ring vacuum pump enters a large circulation pool or is directly drained. This method of water supply and drainage is convenient to connect and simple to use, making it widely adopted in practical applications. However, if the medium being extracted contains organic solvents, toxic substances, etc., the direct discharge of working fluid has the following drawbacks: As the water ring pump extracts gases, the extracted gases mix with the working fluid, and the water discharged from the outlet may contain some organic solvents and toxic substances. Due to the large volume of water discharged, it places significant pressure on environmental protection. Water containing organic solvents and toxic substances releases harmful gases, exacerbating environmental pollution. The extracted organic solvents are difficult to recover and are wasted. In light of these issues, an increasing number of chemical and pharmaceutical companies are adopting closed-loop circulation systems for water ring vacuum pumps. The main features of the water ring vacuum pump closed-loop circulation system are as follows: 1. The unit is supplied as a complete set of equipment, including a gas-liquid separator, heat exchanger, frame, internal pipelines, and other accessories, making installation easier for users and significantly shortening the installation cycle. 2. The working fluid can be water or various chemical solvents, which are recycled, greatly reducing environmental pollution in the chemical industry. 3. When the extracted medium is used as the working fluid, the extracted medium can be recovered. 4. The 2BW series closed-loop system needs to be designed based on the user's inlet conditions, cooling water conditions, exhaust conditions, etc., making it a non-standard product. Working Principle: The most basic 2BW series liquid ring vacuum pump/compressor closed-loop circulation system is shown in Figure 2: The extracted gas enters the liquid ring vacuum pump/compressor through the suction port. After compression by the liquid ring vacuum pump/compressor, it enters the gas-liquid separator along with part of the working fluid. In the gas-liquid separator, the gas and liquid phases are separated. The gas is discharged from the exhaust port, and the working fluid is sucked into the liquid ring pump/compressor through the heat exchanger for recycling. The liquid ring pump generates heat during operation, primarily including: the ineffective power of the vacuum pump/compressor; heat brought by the high temperature of the inhaled gas; and phase change heat released during the compression of condensable gases in the inhaled gas. The main function of the heat exchanger is to cool the working fluid with cooling water, keeping its temperature within a reasonable range.
